Hello, my name is Ms. Hernandez Mena. This is my second year at Fairfax, I work with students across all grade levels, with a particular focus on English Learners, International Students, SPED and Gifted Magnet students. I am passionate about supporting students academically, socially, and personally as they navigate high school as they prepare for their future goals. I graduated from California State University, Los Angeles with a B.S. in Rehabilitation Services and earned my M.Ed. with a PPS Credential in School Counseling K-12 from USC. Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with my husband and family, traveling, and exploring new places. I look forward to getting to know and supporting you all!

Hey Lions! My name is Alan Evangelista, but you can call me Mr. E, too! This is my 5th year here at Fairfax, and it has been an incredible experience. I’ve had the opportunity to connect with so many of you, and I hope to continue building those relationships for many years to come. I enjoy helping you all navigate high school, reach your goals, and feel confident about what comes next. A little background from me. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Sociology from UCLA and my Master's degree in Educational Counseling from the University of La Verne. Outside of work, I’m a big sports fan (Go Dodgers and Lakers!), and I enjoy spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, trying new food spots, and exploring new places.
