Coming in the Fall of 2019, Chromebook Rollout!
Fairfax High School is the recipient of an LAUSD's Empowered Learners Grant that has provided us with Chromebooks to enhance teaching and learning on our campus.
The implementation of the Empowered Learners Grant's principles and the use of the 1:1 digital tools for personal learning experiences for all students, will ensure the attainment of our vision embedded school-wide learning outcomes of graduating students with 21st century skills, who are able to compete, succeed and flourish in the present and future global economy.
To support the transition of incorporating digital tools in the daily design and implementation of the Task Force Recommendations, our teacher professional development will review and revise existing calendar items to incorporate specific Common Sense Lessons, consistent with ITI Task Force Recommendations. Our teachers will also explore and learn apps and instructional software that they could use to promote and foster Learner Agency and sustained Academic Rigor for our diverse learners.
