Hall of Fame

The purpose of the Fairfax Hall of Fame is to honor former students, teachers, administrators, and staff who have brought honor to the school through their accomplishments.  Induction ceremonies have been held in 1974, 1984, 1999, 2011, and 2012, and will be held during the Centennial Celebration in 2024.

Teacher nominees must be those than can be described as “true” teachers – the kind that:
  • open students’ minds and nurture students’ growth;
  • encourage, guide, and help students to discover themselves;
  • open students to an interest in things they may not have thought they’d ever be interested in;
  • taught students to think;
  • have had a lasting impact on students;
  • provided inspiration to students and perhaps beyond – to the community and to other teachers;
  • often went above and beyond the call of duty;
  • turned students on to learning, turning them into lifelong learners and lifelong thinkers
  • made a difference in the lives of students and in the life of the school
Student nominees must have become accomplished in their field and must have made a significant contribution to that field and/or to the community.
