Dear Mr. Choi,
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to request the use of Fairfax High School’s campus to host professional development sessions in collaboration with the San Gabriel Band of Mission Indians–Gabrieleno Tongva.
We are proposing to hold these sessions on the following Saturdays:
September 27, 2025 (150 participants)
November 15, 2025 (150 participants)
January 24, 2025 (100 participants)
The trainings will focus on deepening educators’ understanding of local history and culture of the San Gabriel Band of Mission Indians, and we believe Fairfax High School would be an ideal location for this important work.
We will cover all costs for custodial overtime associated with these events. Please let us know if these dates are possible and if there are any specific facility use procedures we should follow to secure the space.
Thank you for considering this request and for your support in advancing culturally responsive education in our district.
Sincerely,
Karmin Mendoza Hidalgo
