Dear Principal and Staff:

Thankyou for hosting Decathlon Scrimmage to Region West schools at Fairfax HS.  Here are the details for the event:

Date:  November 4^th, 2023

Time:  7am – 1pm

Continental Breakfast:  BTB has provided funds and Coaches will bring snacks for their schools.  Host School is welcome to provide snacks and coffee for staff or LAUSD meals for students.

Technology:  Students will be using chromebooks to access the exams online and wifi is needed.  About 8 chrome carts will be delivered to your school on Nov 1 or 2.  Please provide a secure location for the storage of these carts.  Chrome carts will be picked up next week.  Please provide a couple of extra chrombook carts (charged for the event) in case we need to use some for the testing as backups.

Students testing:  100

Testing area:  G90 (wifi and Audio-visual set-up needed)

Test Administrator:  BTB Administrator and staff will manage the Scrimmage.  Coaches will help proctor.  School site Admin would be on-site support.

Testing Box:  There will be a Testing box for each school with all the instructions.

B&G:  BTB will provide funding for up to 16 total hours of B&G work.  Please see attached timesheet and submit to me after Scrimmage.

           Chromecarts will need to be in the Auditorium Friday night so they are ready to be used on Saturday morning.  Please keep then secure.  Chromecarts will need to taken to a secure location and locked up after testing.

           Set a up table outside the auditorium for registration.

           Open gates at 6:30am.  Add some signs so students know where to go.

           Set up trash cans outside auditorium so students can dispose trash during their breaks outside.

           Need signs for bathrooms for students and other ones for staff.  Please have these unlocked.
