OASIS is a continuation school in the Los Angeles Unified School District. It is a drop out prevention service for ALL students including LGBT youth.

Lifeworks Mentoring

 
Lifeworks Mentoring provides social activities (such as day hikes, bike rides, and movie nights), life skill workshops, peer mentoring and counseling for LGBTQ youth, ages 14-24. Adult mentors are encouraged to volunteer to provide additional support for our youth, ages 16-24.

HIV/AIDS Prevention Unit/LAUSD

 
The Los Angeles Board of Education approved the development of programs to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS. Since 1987, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has provided funds to develop age-appropriate lessons for students, to train teachers in strategies for preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS and other diseases that may be transmitted sexually (STDs), and for the prevention of teenage pregnancy.

The Trevor Project

 
The Trevor Project operates the only nationwide, around-the-clock suicide prevention helpline for gay and questioning youth. Every day, The Trevor Project saves lives though it’s free and confidential helpline, its website and its educational services.

American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)

 
The ACLU fights to preserve and expand the civil rights of all people guaranteed by the Bill of Rights. Attorneys represent ACLU clients free of charge. Individual cases are handled by staff counsel, sometimes working together with attorneys in private practice who volunteer their time for ACLU cases.
